A Critical Review of Social Sciences: Theory and Practice captures a significant position among the contemporary discourses on social sciences.

In all 67 articles, fragmented into eight segments, viz. economics, business and management, sociology and wellbeing, history, gender and migration, tourism, education sciences, and urbanisation, the accomplished academics and ace professionals portray the historical, ideological and political context within which the mentioned fields of social science developed, and explore the changing contemporary context, with particular reference to Turkey, within which those fields of study are further developing today.

In its attempt, the critique efficaciously meets the challenge to cope with its discussion of theory to the understanding in practice both from local and global perspectives for the issues chronicled with a sense of the scope, range and purpose while developing critical awareness of problems, issues and common fallacies.

Collectively, all these well-researched articles, graded to be from general to the specific, in the backdrop of history tell us about the position of Turkey in respect of globally emerging issues that surface in the on-going geo-political compulsions.

With the accessible and engaging style as well as the distinctive and path-breaking approach, the treatise makes it an invaluable companion for the policymakers, academia, researchers, students and a wide range of general readers having proclivity towards social science in general and Turkey in particular.
